Northgate High School students donate dog houses to Trumbull County Dog Pound

HOWLAND, Ohio (WKBN) — The Trumbull County Puppy Pound acquired a distinctive shipping from Pittsburgh large school pupils Friday early morning.

Pupils from Northgate Significant School dropped off 9 custom-built canine homes at the pound in Howland. The canine residences were being intended and developed by much more than a dozen college students in a woodworking class.

The students initially visited the pound in Oct. to choose measurements for the undertaking and have been working on it ever considering that.

Superintendent Dr. Caroline Johns mentioned she was approached by a buddy of hers who volunteers at the pound about the venture. The learners mentioned they were joyful to see their operate set to use.

“It is awesome recognizing that all these dogs, like, have a comfy, like location to slumber now,” mentioned freshman Cassidy Lennex.

“It feels wonderful. I like animals and stuff and I’ve been to a couple of shelters and adopted some dogs. So, for me to occur out in this article with the relaxation of my crew is just truly pleasant and enjoyable,” reported freshman Charles Walker.

“It’s incredibly wonderful, like viewing the pet dogs be delighted, have a small household for them selves,” reported freshman Julianna Beam.

“The personnel and the learners, they’re just amazing. Yeah, yeah, they did a seriously good work. We’re tremendous thrilled,” claimed Main Govt Dog Warden Michelle Goss.

Dr. Johns said Northgate gained a grant to buy the provides to create the pet properties.
