The Scandinavian Minimalist Kitchen by Nordiska Kök

[ad_1]

Known for creating timeless spaces in a soft, minimalist style, Swedish stylist and interior designer Pella Hedeby enlisted Nordiska Kök to build the kitchen for her own beautiful home. Distinctively Scandinavian, the bright and airy space combines natural materials and textural finishes that inject character, warmth and tactility.

The meeting between the modern design and the warm limestone creates an exciting contrast and gives the kitchen personality. “I always strive to create interiors and expressions that I will not get tired of. I can definitely be inspired by other materials and colours in a kitchen, but I always come back to the bright, Scandinavian design,” Pella says.

Pella is an expert at softening that bright Scandinavian style with textiles, natural tones and tactile accessories to create cosy and inviting spaces. Her home and kitchen demonstrate this beautifully.

The kitchen is fitted out with solid wood drawers and cabinets in white pigmented oak. The purposeful uniformity of the cabinet width creates a symmetrical and calm impression throughout. The timeless Jura grey limestone and handmade Zellige tiles blend seamlessly with Pella’s calm colour scheme, while the natural variation and texture of the materials provide warmth and contrast.
