Listed for $12.75 million, the Westport home has more than 7 acres of land that contains a pool, pool house and a 900 square-foot roof-top deck with 360-degree views of Long Island Sound, according to the listing. In addition to its outdoor living spaces, the property also has a “ProLinks par 3 golf hole,” complete with a sand bunker and putting green, the listing notes, as well as “3-acre private pond with a serene wildlife preserve full of herons and egrets.”

Built in 2014, the home was designed by local Southport architecture firm, J.P. Franzen, according to the listing. It is a five-minute walk from Southport Beach, a 2.5-acre beach that is one of five beaches in the town of Fairfield. 

Westport  is one of many towns and cities in Connecticut to have seen its average home values increase in the past two years. Between January 2020 and January 2022, home values in Westport’s 06880 ZIP code jumped $327,344, marking an increase of 29.43 percent. According to national real estate brokerage Redfin, home prices in Westport’s 06880 ZIP code increased 43.4 percent in March 2022 compared to the same month in 2021. The average sale price Redfin recorded for March 2022 totals $2 million.

While prices increased, Redfin notes the number of homes sold in March 2022 decreased compared to the same time last year by 78, marking a 30 percent decrease year over year. The median number of days a home in Westport spent on the market also decreased in March 2022 compared to March 2021, with a home spending an average of 61 days on the market in 2022 versus 65 days in 2021.
