Hey friends!

If you stick to along more than on Instagram, you might have seen a minimal of the trip. Enjoyment, entertaining!

On Island Time Signal

Today I’m back again sharing this sweet minor sign…

Considering the fact that it’s currently a indicator and has a good hanging wire on the back, I figured I’d hold it a signal.
Effectively, kind of.

You can dangle it or sit it on a shelf, either way.

Listed here is what it appears to be like like now…

Just a minimal distinct, huh? lol

Properly, guess what? Yep…I pulled out a different sheet of that lengthy-lost scrapbook paper I had stashed away and utilized it.

You can see over that I designed a crease by pressing together the edges of the board for cutting.

See under?

Then I utilized a skinny layer of my Decoupage Gel

…and connected the scrapbook paper.

At the time it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a wonderful clean line like you see under.

I appreciate that small trick! Works so nicely. (on material decoupage too)

Then I printed (in reverse) out the terms “on island time…” and organized them on the indication in which I wished them.

printed lettering cut out and laid on sign to transfer

I rubbed about them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.

You can see how well this performs underneath.

Then all you have to do is use a compact artist’s brush to paint more than the lettering. (some thing like this brush is effective incredibly properly)

I utilised white paint for the letters.

I went back over areas that ended up much too slender and then decided to increase shadowing.

white lettering with gray shadows

I like to print out the text with a “shadow” and it exhibits you everywhere you go you will need to include it.

Doesn’t that just make the letters pop??

Last of all, I incredibly hot glued a newborn starfish to the front to end it up.

Perfect for that seashore-themed house or cottage by the sea. 🙂

Yet another quite simple 1! Loving all the decoupage I have been performing lately.
It’s been so much pleasurable to rework these aged, drained parts!
